2021 NCAA Bracket It's been years since I've filled a bracket. Thought I'd give it a try this year having not seen an entire college game. The entire tournament is being held in Indianapolis. A representation of the bracket is pasted on the side of the city's biggest hotel, the J. W. Marriott.
Part-time job at Merchants Bank in 1979 A few weeks ago we were stuck in traffic on East Street, and Justin and Mike were talking about an apartment building, and I remarked that I use to work in that building before it got rehabbed into apartments. I couldn't recall when it was though. Today (10/21/2021) I ran across the newsletter with my picture in it, it was a few months before Justin was born that I worked there.

My reflections during the Covid Pandemic 2020 on the Grandparents I never knew. Back to the grandparents I never met. My grandmother Ella Bolton Moore was said to have been born in “Indian Territory”, I haven’t found a birth certificate for Grandma Ella, but over time “Indian Territory” would have many meanings. However, I did find Ella and William’s marriage documents. The marriage documents provide the confirmation of my mother’s story that William Moore was born William Gordon, and when given a chance he changed his last name to make it easier for his siblings to find him.
A biography written in December 2020 by John Moore In the November IAAGG meeting, members were asked to write a biography. I condensed the middle portion of a book I've been working on this year and submitted it to the group. Much like 2020, it's all over the place.

Reunion T-Shirts for the Cole-Brown 2016 Reunion in St. Louis For our reunion (the first one ever for the Cole-Brown family), no one wanted to do shirts for everyone, so we decided to have each branch design and print their own shirts. Well here's how things ended up: The shirt design has the skyline of the host city on the front of the shirt, and the back is a sepia tone photo of my parents and a descendants chart, along with a QR code to our family website. Originally we wanted to have a photo of my mother and her five sisters on the front of the shirt, but unfortunately, the only photo we have is not in good enough shape to reproduce on a shirt (preserve your photos...), so we went with the St. Louis skyline.
Research Question related to Unknown DNA Cousin Several members of my family have had DNA testing done. An unknown person appears in our "Relatives Match List" on 23andme, Gedmatch, and DNAland. We have contacted the unknown cousin, but have yet to determine our most recent common ancestor (MRCA).
The test results indicate that the unknown person and I are most likely Second Cousins once removed (I am the oldest of those who have been tested).
USCT Questions For over forty years two wonderful pictures by Burl Washington have hung in our dining room. The question that came to mind was are the uniforms "historically correct"?
Why choose TNG as your genealogy platform. I gave a presentation to my genealogy society on the benefits of using TNG TNG is a self-hosting alternative. TNG software costs $33 and you can expect to pay $15 every other year or so, to upgrade to get the newest features. In the self-hosting world, you will need to pick a domain name, and pay for it (anywhere from $6 to $50 per year), additionally, you will need to pay an internet service provider (ISP) to host your site. Typically, this hosting will include several email accounts, storage space, databases, and in some cases the ability to sell items online. The charge to host a site can range from $5 to $15 per month ($60 – $180 per year).

Copyright Application (7) My problems obtaining a copyright for our family website; our website is the repository of "our stories".
In September of 2015 I attempted to get a copyright for our family website. I paid the registration fee and began to upload the files. A few months later I found out it would not be that simple. In 2019 I've decided to write a book and copyright the book. All the recent talk about 1619, I think I may need to go back to 1619 technology. A few years later, I thought about trying again when the head of the the library was a Black woman, but didn't.
