Miss Thomas and Mrs Parker were two of Mom's dearest friends. The Indianapolis Section of the National Council of Negro Women awards a Scholarship named for Miss Thomas each year.

Some time ago Willie Moore wrote the history of Rev Young. Years later a group in the church made a poster for a program, and after the program they stopped by her nursing home to give it to her. When I visited her, she asked that I keep for her, as her display area was getting crowded.
