3		40 Anniversary Rosson Cemetery Memorial May 2006, St Paul Baptist Church Kenton, Tennessee The picture above brings back so many memories of all our good times and of all our family members (many of whom have passed on, but are not forgotten). We sat on that porch and swung on that swing seat for many,many years. We listened to crickets and felt that humid temperature as we slept. We watched the children run and play and enjoy the quiet life of a less hurried world than back home. We reminded them over and over to not cross the street without looking back and forth because it was a highway, not a regular street! The 40th Anniversary of the Rosson Cemetery Memorial will be Sunday, May 28, 2006, at St. Paul Baptist Church, Kenton, Tennessee (Reverend Willie Pounds, Pastor).

5		Tennessee Historical Commission's Historic Cemetery Registry The State Historic Cemetery Register was created for the purpose of collecting digital information about Tennessee cemeteries. An application that meets specific criteria will earn the cemetery spot on the Register. This special status will serve to increase public awareness, attract funding, and encourage expanded preservation efforts. Even if a cemetery does not qualify for addition to the Register, location and other information will be added to the State Database. Only one successful application will be honored per cemetery. Any future application will still be accepted but will be used to update cemetery information. The criteria are listed on the Historic Cemetery Register Main Page.
