64 Meleni lived in East Moline, IL. She owned a house on the Mississippi river. Her husband was serving time in jail in Joliet the last few years of her life. She died of Asthma. It was believed that her riverfront property was willed to Albert Allen Moore, but he never got the property. When her house was cleaned after her death, her use of garlic was apparent as it was everywhere. At the time garlic was thought to be a remedy for asthma.

81 Shortly after I was married, we spent a few days with Aunt Til, around Christmastime; we we all impressed with her tree that recycled snow. Several years later in the middle of a major kitchen renovation, I recalled her stories of her renovation.

I've been to many funerals in my day, but Aunt Til's had the best music!!

88 Two possibilities for his location in the 1920 census, in Michigan or Reelfoot lake in TN as a border. Need to resolve.
1920 He is boarding and working in Lake County, at Reelfoot.
Never found him after 1920 in the census records or if he had any children.

92 William Carter Cole, son of Monroe Sr. and Laura Cole, Born near Kenton, TN, October 21, 1879 died in St Louis, Mo December 28, 1975. He was a lifetime member of the St. Paul Baptist Church in Kenton, and a 33 degree Mason in the County Line Lodge #268. He attended a Shriner Convention in Indianapolis in 1953. His favorite scripture was Psalms 37:25.

Not much is known of W.C. Cole's relatives; in the 1990s while on the parking lot of the Kenton Motel, I saw this old guy with a big blue Ford pickup towing a horse trailer. After excersising his horse in the field , he came over, and identified himself as a cousin of Poppa Will. He was a short wireing guy in his 80s, I'm sorry I didn't get his name.

94 Yesterday southern Indiana was hit by a major Tornado (Henryville, a EF-4 to be precise). This morning
I received a call from Cousin Booker. He (Tee) was concerned that we here in Indianapolis, may have
been effected by the storm, and was not able to reach Sophie on the phone. I told him that the storm
was almost two hundred miles from here and all was well here. I had been outside earlier in the day
working on the construction of a cold frame for our raised bed garden, but the snow flurries kept me
from going back outside.

Tee told me about his five grandchildren including one at Southern University doing well and looking
forward to an internship with a major Oil company. I mentioned that my granddaughter is about to take
her first steps. We discussed the politics of the day, our ailments, and remembered our parents and
grandparents.

I tried calling Sophie, but still did not get an answer. I tried Sophie?s number again about five,
and not getting an answer, stopped by to see if she was ok. By the time I got out to her house, all
was well, she and Khail were in good spirits. We talked a while, and got caught up on things, but
right as I was about to leave, she mention the storm in Henryville, and how the Shell Station was
not hit by the storm. I had not idea what she was talking about, until she mentioned that Henryville
was on I65, and that is the place that Momma always wanted to stop for Ice Cream on our trips to Kenton.
